Join us for another Women’s Roller Derby Double Header! It’s coming Saturday, June 23, 2012 at the Kitsap Sun Pavilion. The season keeps rolling on for the Slaughter County Roller Vixens! Come to the bout featuring the Terrormedixxx vs Oly Underground and The Death Rattle Rollers vs Wave Of Mutilation. The Toadhouse Beer Garden, Raffles, and derby action are all on the menu for this bout!
Hard-hitting, lightning-fast, and full of attitude, modern roller derby is one of the fastest growing new sports in the country. Unlike its banked track predecessor, the current derby revival uses a flat track to bring the sport right into the laps of its rabid fans. As the popularity of the sport continues to spread, roller derby has made its mark in popular culture, featured on TV shows like Rollergirls on A&E and in movies like Drew Barrymore’s film Whip It.

Xtreme Bulls is coming back for its 8th year, bringing exciting levels of exposure to both the sport of bull riding and to the Kitsap Stampede & Rodeo. This year in August 2012, Xtreme Bull riding fans  will enjoy some of the most intense bull riding competition in professional rodeo.

Kitsap Haunted Fairgrounds  = Ghoulish good time!

Kitsap Haunted Fairgrounds attracts victims from Bremerton, Silverdale, Belfair, Port Orchard, Poulsbo, Seattle and beyond for the annual scare put on in October. If you haven’t made your way out here before, buckle up – you’re in for a ride through your darkest nightmares. The dates will be in October and will be firmed up in the Fall. The lights will be on from 5 to 6 p.m. for the younger crowd (The experience is rated PG-13, but organizers strongly encourages “skittish” people and families with young children to attend at this time). The lights are then turned off from 6 to 11 p.m. General admission tickets are $12 and VIP passes are $20, enabling buyers to go through twice and avoid any lines. Those who bring in a canned food donation for local food banks will get $1 off.
